  • Build deeper litigation and trial skills while working on sophisticated general liability and construction defect matters.
  • Work alongside attorneys who value strong advocacy, proactive case management, and continuous professional growth.
  • Remote flexibility is available anywhere in Florida for exceptionally strong candidates, with preference for attorneys who can work in person in the St. Petersburg area.

About Us

We are a growing Florida litigation firm focused on defending businesses, professionals, corporations, and insurers in complex liability matters. Our attorneys handle meaningful cases with a deliberately focused caseload, allowing them to be proactive, thoughtful advocates while continuing to develop as litigators and trial attorneys. We value professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and attorneys who genuinely enjoy litigation and want to become better at it. Confidential Employer.

Job Description

  • Manage a caseload of general liability defense and construction defect litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Develop and execute effective litigation strategies tailored to the facts and needs of each case.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze claims, defenses, liability issues, damages, and case exposure.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Take a proactive approach to case management, deadlines, discovery, negotiations, and litigation strategy.
  • Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial-related activities as appropriate.
  • Exercise sound legal judgment while maintaining high standards of client service and advocacy.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Experience with general liability defense and third-party matters strongly preferred.
  • Construction defect litigation experience is highly valued.
  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage litigation matters independently and proactively.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, professionalism, and client-service skills.
  • Early to mid-career attorneys are strongly encouraged to apply; candidates with approximately 2+ to 15 years of experience are generally targeted.
  • In-house and solo-practice backgrounds are generally less preferred.
  • A demonstrated history of meaningful tenure and progression with prior firms is preferred.

Why You Will Love Working Here

You will have the opportunity to practice law in an environment designed around quality rather than excessive volume. Our focused caseload model gives attorneys greater ownership of their matters, more time to think strategically, and the resources to defend cases the right way.
