Live-in CHHA Caregiver Immediate Opening

LIVE-IN CHHA/CAREGIVER NEEDED – TINTON FALLS, NJ AREA

Preferred Care at Home is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced live-in caregiver for a male stroke survivor who recently returned home from rehabilitation.

Client Overview:

• Male client, approximately 5'4" and 155 lbs


• Stroke survivor with right-side weakness


• Wheelchair dependent


• Requires assistance with all activities of daily living


• Alert, pleasant, and enjoys conversation and companionship

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, diapering)


• Transfers using a slide board


• Meal preparation and light housekeeping


• Medication reminders


• Companionship and engagement


• Monitoring safety and comfort throughout the day

Requirements:

• Current CHHA certification required


• Must be able to safely perform slide board transfers and assist a wheelchair-bound client with mobility needs


• Experience caring for stroke survivors or clients with limited mobility strongly preferred


• Patient, dependable, and professional


• Strong communication skills

Schedule:

• Live-in position


• Sleeping accommodations provided


• Ongoing long-term assignment
