Loan Servicer

Job Summary:

SCU Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Servicer to join our team! This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of consumer (nonresidential) loan documentation, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional service to our members.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Loan Documentation & File Management:

Review and verify consumer closing documents for completeness and accuracy. Coordinate with internal teams and borrowers to obtain missing information. Assemble, scan, and index loan files into the imaging system post-closing.

2. Indirect Loan Processing:

Assess consumer loan files received from indirect lenders for accuracy. Upload them into the Host system and assist with related member account inquiries.

3. Title & Insurance Oversight:

Maintain and verify titles on collateralized loans. Communicate with borrowers and external entities like the Registry of Motor Vehicles to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

4. Loan System Data Management:

Review and correct loan data input in the Host system. Collaborate with relevant personnel to address and rectify errors.

5. Member Service & Support:

Address member inquiries regarding consumer loan servicing. Promote and cross-sell applicable products and services. Assist with skip-a-payment requests, credit card inquiries, and payment adjustments.

6. Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure adherence to credit union policies and procedures. Perform quality control reviews, generate verifications, and support residential mortgage servicing when needed.

7. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• One to two years of work experience in a credit union or financial institution.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Wide range of banking knowledge plus a good understanding of standard servicing procedures and regulations. 

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $24.50 per hour and is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
