Job Title: Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology



Summary:


Join a dedicated team at a prominent healthcare facility in Pendleton, Oregon, seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Board Certified Physician. This locum position requires support for 3 days per week over a duration of 9-12 months, providing an excellent opportunity for those looking to make an impact in outpatient care.


The facility offers a supportive environment with modern resources, focusing on outpatient services including direct hospital-based care and overseeing the chemotherapy program.




Responsibilities:



  • Provide direct outpatient care and manage the chemotherapy program.

  • Perform necessary procedures, including bone marrow biopsies.

  • Consult on 1-3 cases per week, ensuring quality patient care.

  • Utilize EMR systems, specifically ECW (EClinical Works) and Meditech, for patient management.

  • Work collaboratively with a trained support staff including ARNPs and nursing personnel.




Qualifications:



  • Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Board Eligible (0-5 years post-residency completion) - Required.

  • Board Certified in Hematology - Highly Preferred.

  • Active Oregon medical license - Highly Preferred; candidates with IMLC or those willing to obtain an OR license during credentialing are welcome.

  • Completion of residency or fellowship - Required.

  • BLS and DEA certifications - Required during credentialing.

  • Clean background and malpractice history - Highly Preferred.




License and Certification Requirements:



  • Board Certification in Medical Oncology - Required.

  • Board Certification in Hematology - Highly Preferred.

  • Active Oregon Medical License or willingness to obtain - Required.

  • BLS Certification - Required.

  • DEA Certification - Required during credentialing.
