Locum - Hematology/Oncology - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide consultations and follow-up care to patients.


• Oversee the administration of antineoplastics in the clinic.


• Participate in phone triage calls from hospitalists.


• Conduct bone marrow biopsies and manage patient treatment plans.


• Engage with a support team of nurses, social workers, and ancillary staff.


• Maintain a schedule of 16 patient shifts per month, primarily Monday to Thursday.


• Utilize EMR (EPIC) for patient documentation.


• Opportunity to teach and mentor advanced practice providers.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology (REQUIRED)


• Active Iowa License or Active IMLC (REQUIRED)


• Fellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology (REQUIRED)


• Full-time availability (Monday - Thursday, REQUIRED)


• Experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered


• Ability to perform MUA (REQUIRED)


• Clean malpractice and background check (REQUIRED)

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid Iowa Medical License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)


• Board certification in Hematology and Oncology


• Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology
