Locum - OB/GYN: Obstetrics and Gynecology - MD/DO

Job Summary

Join a dedicated healthcare team at a facility committed to providing high-quality care in vibrant Lansing, Michigan. This locum position is ideal for a knowledgeable, board-certified OB/GYN physician eager to support a facility providing comprehensive services in obstetrics and gynecology. The role requires coverage for OB calls every 5th week, offering essential hospital coverage, including labor and delivery, emergency services, and surgical needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 hospital coverage, including 2 hours of gratis patient care.


• Manage labor and delivery services, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.


• Conduct emergency department evaluations and surgical coverage.


• Perform clinic consults for emergent cases to assess need for hospitalization.


• Oversee an average of 4 deliveries per day with the support of 2 nurse practitioners.


• Utilize Cerner EHR for patient documentation and management.

Qualifications

• Board certified in OB/GYN (Required)


• Active Michigan medical license (Required)


• A minimum of 2 years' experience in OB/GYN (Required)


• Local candidates are preferred


• Submission of rates at the time of name clear (Required)


• NPDB report pulled within the last 30 days (Required)
