Locum - Surgery: Cardiothoracic - MD/DO

Job Title: Locum - Physician - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Join a dedicated healthcare team at a full-service acute care hospital in Springfield, Ohio, where you will have the opportunity to provide call coverage as a Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon. Our facility offers a supportive environment and is equipped with an onsite lab and imaging services. As you serve the community, you will have access to a fresh case load predominantly involving adults while being backed by a competent team of mid-level providers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide call coverage and assist in the office/clinic setting.


• Conduct general CV, thoracic, and vascular surgeries.


• Perform coronary artery bypass surgery, valvular repair/replacements, and aneurysm repair.


• Manage lung resections, chest wall/pleural procedures, and esophagus/diaphragm surgeries.


• Evaluate and manage acute volume/blood pressure issues.


• Participate in bronchoscopy and ventilation management.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.


• Experience in vascular surgery is preferred but not required.


• BLS and ACLS certification.


• Clean malpractice background is highly preferred.


• Availability for all specified dates in the job description.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid Ohio state license or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission).


• Board certification in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.


• BLS and ACLS certifications.
