Locum Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

This opportunity allows you to work in clinics open seven days a week, providing care to a diverse patient population. You will play a vital role in delivering essential healthcare services to patients from infancy through adulthood.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide evaluation and treatment for a wide range of urgent care needs.


• Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, and minor burn management.


• Administer point-of-care testing and interpret lab results, including rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, and urinalysis.


• Stabilize orthopedic injuries through splinting, casting, and joint reduction.


• Manage episodes of epistaxis with appropriate techniques.


• Maintain accurate electronic medical records using the Epic system.


• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.


• Active Virginia license.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


• Active DEA registration.


• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department, urgent care, or primary care setting.


• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues.

License and Certification Requirements:
