Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient care, treating patients of all ages.


• Perform diagnostic and point-of-care testing, including rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, and urinalysis.


• Conduct a variety of procedures, such as laceration repairs, incision and drainage, foreign body removals, and minor burn management.


• Manage acute injuries by stabilizing orthopedic conditions and performing splinting and casting.


• Monitor patients and offer airway support, including nebulizer treatments.


• Interpret x-rays and electrocardiograms (EKG).


• Ensure accurate and timely documentation using the Epic EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.


• Active Virginia state license.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


• Valid DEA registration.


• At least 1 year of experience in an ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting.


• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues.

License and Certification Requirements:
