Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

Join a dynamic urgent care facility located in Richmond, Virginia, where you will serve a diverse patient population, from birth to senior care. This clinic operates seven days a week and offers flexible scheduling in a vibrant environment that values compassionate healthcare. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll have the opportunity to provide essential outpatient services while working closely with experienced healthcare providers in a bustling metropolitan area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality outpatient care to a varied patient population.


• Perform essential medical procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.


• Stabilize and manage orthopedic injuries, including splinting and casting.


• Conduct diagnostic tests and evaluate results, including point-of-care lab tests and EKGs.


• Administer airway support and manage minor burn care.


• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery.


• Document all patient interactions using Epic EMR.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.


• At least 1 year of experience in an ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting.


• Active Virginia medical license.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


• Current DEA registration.


• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified - REQUIRED


• Active VA License - REQUIRED


• Active BLS - REQUIRED


• Active DEA - REQUIRED
