Your Role
As Logistics / Transport Assistant, you’ll take on real challenges that bring out your full potential.
Your scope includes:
- Coordinate and schedule shipping activities to ensure on-time deliveries
- Verify shipment and delivery information for accuracy.
- Process goods issues and generate invoices according to established business procedures.
- Manage order changes and transportation updates as needed.
- Communicate proactively with Customer Service regarding production delays or shipment concerns.
- Monitor inventory and production schedules to identify and report potential delivery risks.
- Optimize trailer loading and transportation utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and logistics processes.
- Complete daily transportation and warehouse monitoring activities and address issues promptly.
What you bring
You're a natural fit for Logistics / Transport Assistant if you have:
- 2-5 years of logistics, transportation, or warehouse experience; Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage changing priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Collaborative team player with a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.

Your challenge!
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Logistics and Transport Assistant’s mission is to contribute to his or her unit's logistics plan by coordinating all shipping activities and ensuring rigorous monitoring of inventory data and delivery times. You prioritize customer satisfaction and do not hesitate to escalate issues when necessary in order to limit the possibility of delays or delivery errors. You participate in planning the finished products’ movement and in developing a cyclical counting process in order to optimize the unit's storage capacity. Finally, through the application of standard operating procedures, you contribute to the operational excellence of your plant's logistics process and maximize its ability to effectively meet customer demand within the required timeframe.
Individual responsibilities
Accountable
Ensure the accuracy of inventory data in the system in real time and in the right place.
Rigorously ensure that dates recorded on delivery are accurate.
Responsible
Coordinate and plan shipping activities to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure optimized warehousing.
Post goods issue to produce invoices based on business rules.
Apply the external warehouse management strategy, as required.
Implement a cyclical count process based on business rules.
Perform change requests, as required.
Plan the daily movements of finished products in the satellite warehouses.
Communicate with Customer Service in the event of production delays.
Monitor alignment between production and your inventories to be able to report any delivery delays to Customer Service and COE Logistics.
Optimize trailer⁄transport loading, in collaboration with customers.
Ensure standard operating procedures (SOP) are understood and applied.
Validate the creation of transportation costs and the transfer of costs to Accounting for accounts payable in the system (if outside 4 PL).
Ensure daily monitoring (checklist: SOP_WM) and act accordingly.
Experiences and strengths
Professional degree in logistics or a relevant discipline.
2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Warehouse supervision experience.
Familiarity with different logistics issues.
Ability to act and react quickly while working on a number of files at the same time.
Ability to adapt quickly and a high level of agility in order to respond to the various stakeholders’ needs.
Collaborative spirit needed to work closely with all team members.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize activities effectively.
Exemplary rigour in carrying out responsibilities.
