Lot Attendant (Personal Property)

Growing auto auction company!  Full-time Lot Attendant opening!  The responsibility of the Lot Attendant (Personal Property) is to maintain all personal items that are in vehicles that come into the Auction.  The Lot Attendant (Personal Property) will be responsible for bagging and tagging all personal items in each unit, as well as assist the Redemptions Team.

Entry level and no experience is required.  Training will be provided.  Lot Attendant, Porter, Outside Work Experience, or related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities of Lot Attendant (Personal Property)

• Collect, bag, and secure personal belongings found in vehicles entering the auction, and transport all personal items to the designated Personal Property Room.
• Accurately identify and track all personal belongings by vehicle stock number, maintaining organized records to ensure items can be properly returned to the vehicle owner or authorized representative
• Coordinate with the Redemptions Team to ensure personal belongings are available and properly returned when customers arrive to redeem or collect their vehicles.
• Safeguard all personal belongings while they are in the auction’s possession and ensure the Personal Property Room remains locked and secured when not actively being accessed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly Personal Property Room, ensuring all items are properly labeled, stored, and easy to locate.
• Properly dispose of personal belongings that have been abandoned or are otherwise authorized for disposal, following auction policies and procedures and doing so in a timely manner.
• Assist the Redemptions Team with vehicle deliveries, including locating, retrieving, and driving vehicles to designated customer pickup areas when customers are redeeming their vehicles.
•  Communicate promptly and effectively with the Redemptions Team regarding personal belongings, missing items, customer requests, and any issues requiring attention.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment when handling customers’ personal belongings and other property entrusted to the auction.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a professional and customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Follow all auction safety, security, and operating procedures while performing assigned duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary to support auction operations.

Requirements for Lot Attendant (Personal Property)

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Good driving record.
• Able to pass pre-employment screening.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements for Lot Attendant (Personal Property)

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb, reach, bend, stoop, and get in and out of vehicles repeatedly.
• Ability to use hands to handle, tag, and move equipment and vehicle-related items.
• Ability to drive a variety of makes and models of vehicles.
