Low Voltage / Fire Alarm Safety Technician

In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fire alarm, intrusion, and access control systems in retail locations nationwide. Key Responsibilities:

  • Fire Safety & Security Installations: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems, intrusion alarms, access control systems, and other safety devices to ensure flawless operation and compliance with safety codes.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, ensuring each system operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Customer Relations: Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, ensuring their safety needs are met and relationships are maintained.
  • Collaborative Project Execution: Work alongside managers and team members to complete projects on time, ensuring smooth coordination and high-quality outcomes.
  • THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE 70% TRAVEL INCLUDING OVERNIGHTS

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with fire alarm systems (e.g., EST, Honeywell), intrusion alarms, access control systems, and related low-voltage technologies.
  • Certifications: Valid certifications in relevant technologies and knowledge of industry standards. Current Fire Alarm & Burglar Alarm Licenses (e.g., NICET, NFPA) are a must.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient with email, spreadsheets, and internal systems. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
  • Travel Ready: Ability to travel for extended periods, often working on projects in various locations across the U.S.
  • Customer-Focused: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to clients.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to transport tools and equipment.
  • Safety First: Basic PPE required, with reliable transportation during the training period before the company vehicle is provided.

Pay and Schedule:

  • Hourly Wage: $30 - $45/hour, based on experience
  • Work Hours: Expect 40-60 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that includes 10-hour shifts. (Overtime will be paid)
