Lowboy Truck Driver

Description

Looking for someone with experience hauling heavy equipment.

Lowboy hauling experience up to 365 size excavators and 1050 size dozers. Familiarity with hauling items from auctions that may or may not run and operate correctly. Comfortable with RGN, Sliding axle and flatbed trailers. Reading and understanding OS/OW permits and how to follow proper routing and operating conditions set forth on the permit.

The candidate we are looking for will have experience in all these areas of expertise. Assignments will vary day to day based on the needs of customers and dispatch.

Detailed Description:

• Must be able to operate trucks safely while navigating through various types of off-road terrain.
• Knowledge and ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle always ensuring safe transportation of cargo.
• Knowledge and ability to fill out logbooks and company documentation in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
• Properly maintain the assigned vehicle and report damage or faulty equipment promptly.
• Wear PPE appropriately at all times.

Requirements

• Must have and be able to maintain a Federal DOT physical.
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening and random screenings.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of the mechanics essential to truck operations.
• Pre-trip, and Post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ability to work overtime as needed/required, as well as availability for call-out.
• Possess the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Ability to provide information to supervisor and coworkers by written, electronic communications i.e. email and text as well as articulate in person.
• Ability to run heavy equipment as well as self-load.
• Ability to lift/push 70 lbs. max.

Minimum Requirements:

• General DOT requirement knowledge.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience with clean driving record.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
