Low-Voltage Technician

Slate LV is a new commercial low-voltage integration company founded by industry professionals who have spent years on both the client and contractor side of projects. We know what customers expect because we've been in their shoes.

What You'll Do

You'll install, service, and troubleshoot a variety of technology systems including:

• Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber)
• Network nfrastructure and rack buildouts
• Accessb control systems
• IP video surveillance systems
• Audio/Visual systems and conference rooms
• Wireless access point installations
• Cable testing, certification, labeling, and documentation
• Device installation, programming, and commissioning
• Service calls, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Working alongside electricians, general contractors, and other trades
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional jobsite

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of commercial low-voltage installation experience
• Experience with structured cabling and network infrastructure
• Familiarity with access control and IP camera systems
• Basic networking knowledge (switches, PoE, IP addressing)
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Strong  troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working on ladders and lifts
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
