Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Physician or authorized practitioner and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. LPN 's will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Physician or authorized practitioner and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.

Perform delegated nursing and medical functions of data collection and delivery of care to an assigned group of patients. Including but not limited to; IV’s upon competency completion, catheters, dressing changes, wounds, oral cares, medications, vitals / glucose, and daily cares. Computerized charting and occasional HUC duties are required, delegated nursing and medical functions of data collection and delivery of care to an assigned group of patients (Cardiac and Medical).

Position is on our busy 39 bed unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.

Schedule: 8 hour shifts, including every other weekend.

56 hours in pay period and

Benefit Eligible.

Nights start at 11 PM.

Required:

• Current MN LPN license or by start date.

• Current BLS certification or obtain by the end of orientation.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and computer skills.

• Ability to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to a healing environment.

• Ability to be Self-directed.

Preferred:

• If a new graduate LPN- experience working in patient care support role (NA, NST, PCA, PCT) or completed an LPN clinical in a hospital or sub-acute setting.

• 1-3 years of recent LPN acute care or transitional care work experience.

• Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting -max 35lbs, push/pull-max. 35 lbs, balance, stooping/crouching, grasping, writing, finger dexterity/keyboarding, reaching, color vision, operate machinery, physical presence at work
