Lumberyard Associate

Arlington Coal & Lumber is seeking energetic and hard working individuals to join the team as a Lumberyard Associate. The position duties include greeting and assisting customers, picking and loading materials, unloading shipments and other essential duties needed. Heavy lifting is required and Forklift experience is preferred.

• Be able to wait on customers and be able to communicate and interact with a respectful, positive, and pleasant manner.
• Ability to read and understand order slips
• Ability to load and unload a truck in a safe and proficient manner
• Ability to pick orders according to procedures
• Ability to operate forklifts, trucks, and power tools in a safe manner
• Restock materials and take inventory of products
• Clean and organize warehouse and lumberyard
• Be able to follow through and complete routine and special tasks in a timely and professional manner with a minimum amount of supervision
• Ability to be at work on time and for the fully scheduled shift
• Other general tasks as necessary to the normal functioning of the lumberyard

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree
• Strong communication skills
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds
• Ability to be on feet for 8 hour shift
