Job Description - Machine Operator

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, running, adjusting, cleaning, and monitoring their assigned machine, to be a successful packaging machine operator, one needs to have technical skills to operate and troubleshoot machinery, attention to detail for quality control, and a strong focus on safety.

(THIS IS NOT A FORKLIFT POSITION)

Note: This is a direct hire position, not a temp-to-hire.

Responsibilities/Duties

Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
Diagnose and repair issues with packaging equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
Ensure that packaging machines are calibrated correctly to maintain the quality and consistency of packaging materials and products.
Ensure that all packaging machinery adheres to safety regulations and protocols
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to track maintenance schedules and identify areas for improvement.
Operates forklifts to load/unload materials.

Requirements

2 years of previous experience operating manufacturing machinery (required)
Mechanical knowledge/aptitude (required)
Understanding of what the machine is for, how it works, and best practices
Previous experience with plastics injection molding (required)
Must have experience in programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word
Leadership/Team Lead/Supervising experience is preferred.

Shift Availability
All shifts available

Compensation:
Up to $25/per hour.
