Machine Operator

Pay: $17.50/hr; increases to $18/hr upon conversion to a permanent employee.
Hours: 6:00 AM until finish; shifts typically last 8–10+ hours.
Schedule: 5 days per week, scheduled Sunday–Friday, with Saturdays and one weekday off. Sunday availability is required.

We are hiring a Precut Machine Operator to process and package fresh fruits and vegetables. This position requires attention to quality, safe operation of food processing equipment, and comfort working in a cold, damp environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate food processing equipment to cut and prepare fresh produce.
• Monitor finished products for consistent cut sizes, color, ripeness, and quality.
• Regularly lift and carry baskets and boxes weighing 30–50 lbs.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Follow production instructions and work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• At least two years of food preparation or food processing experience; produce industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 30–50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repeated bending and stooping.
• Comfortable working in a cold processing area, approximately 38°F, and a damp environment.
• Availability to work the required schedule and stay until production is completed.
• Ability to follow instructions and recognize letters, numbers, and symbols.
