This position requires a self-motivated individual willing to work safely in a team-based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands. Overtime including weekends may be available.
Responsibilities
·Work safely and follow all related safety policies and programs
·Accurately report time, production, and material usage
·Set up the machine, including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage
·Enter job and production information into the computer, including measurements
·Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality issues to the Team Operations Manager
·Assist the crew with running, changing over, starting up, and cleaning up the machine
·Check raw materials on hand to prevent shortages during production runs
·Use a ruler to verify material dimensions for quality assurance
·Troubleshoot machine issues and recommend process improvements
·Keep the work area clean and organized
·Perform other job tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications
·High school diploma or equivalent required
·Previous machine operator experience required
·Experience in slitting, coating, or printing preferred
·Good human relations skills
·Strong verbal communication skills
