POSITION SUMMARY:

Monitors assigned machines / parts as directed by their Production Supervisor/Molding Cell Leader using all necessary equipment, data, and resources to ensure the quality and integrity of the product and process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Exercise safe work practices.


• Ensure work area is safe and free of all potential safety hazards.


• Comply with QMS and EHS Standard policies and procedures.


• Ensure good housekeeping / 5S practices.  


• Comply with Emergency Preparedness policies and procedures.


• Supports and promotes the company quality objectives, policies, and procedures.


• Reacts to non-conforming and out-of-control conditions by following company

procedures (i.e. NCR Plan).

• Follow all Job Standards and Work Instructions for the process running.


• Measure all parts in your required cell per the Job Standard to ensure quality of part produced.

• Monitor machines to ensure quality and rate of objectives are being met.


• Packaging of product.

• Regrind runners.


• Packaging of product.


• Trim gates from product where applicable.


• Complete AX Label per work order.


• Comply with all Company and Corporate policies.


• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative, fast paced environment.


• Practice and promote NBS tools.


• Follows Code of Conduct & Anti-Corruption Policies.


• *Operators will be asked to work in Assembly or Molding for Business case needs.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Communicates with other operators regarding day to day problems.

• Manufacturing experience (P)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

• Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor.


• Exert 25 to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or


• Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or

• Exert up to 35 pounds of force constantly to move objects.


• Lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: (Some of the following certificates, licenses, and/or registrations may be acquired through training, but the employee must be able to demonstrate the capacity to obtain these requirements when placed in this position):

VISUAL ACUITY:

• Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
  
  

HEARING ABILITY:

• Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.

• High noise levels from operating machines.


• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.


• Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
