Interlude Restorative Suites, a collaboration of Allina Health and the Benedictine Health System, is a new concept for transitional care focused on hospitality, wellness and service. Interlude Restorative Suites will specialize in customized, high-quality rehabilitation and recovery programs designed to reach optimal levels of individual health and ability.

Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Department: Building Operations
Reports to: Director of Building Operations
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Job Summary
This position is responsible for a variety of general custodial, grounds-keeping, and general maintenance tasks that assure a well-maintained building in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Functions of the Job, Departmental Expectations
1. Performs general custodial tasks including, but not limited to, removing trash, washing windows/walls, moving furniture and supplies.

2. Performs floor care such as cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning throughout the facility.
3. Assists with building maintenance and construction work as needed on all surfaces, interior or exterior of facility.
4. Assists with grounds maintenance, including but not limited to lawn care, snow removal.
5. Assists with general repairs to facility and guests’ equipment.
6. Completes other duties as assigned.

Required • Excellent hospitality and interpersonal skills • Certified pool operator license of certificate or ability to obtain one • High school diploma or GED • Valid driver’s license • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English Qualifications Preferred • MN state boiler’s license, 2nd class “C” • Heat pumps, refrigeration • Previous health care setting experience preferred • Building and grounds maintenance experience • Mechanically inclined Cognitive or Mental Requirements of the Job • Reading, writing, weighing and measuring • Decision making • Contact with guests, families, public and other facility staff
