Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary

Perform routine facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment. Respond to maintenance requests, complete repair projects, maintain building systems, and support facility operations through hands-on maintenance services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance repairs and facility improvement projects.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
• Complete assigned projects with minimal supervision.
• Perform general building maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain detailed records of completed and ongoing maintenance work.
• Assist with snow removal and exterior maintenance.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and building repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, filters, and other building components as needed.
• Use maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and repair work.
• Ability to use standard maintenance tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Availability for on-call maintenance responsibilities.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
