At a Glance:

The Maintenance-Custodial Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational functionality of Utica Square Shopping Center. This role ensures that all public areas, restrooms, and back-of-house areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for shoppers, tenants, and staff.

What you will do: 

• Clean, maintain, and operate compactor units, including washing down the surrounding areas.
• Perform roof maintenance by removing leaves and contractor debris.
• Fill in for the regular trash handler during absences.
• Assist with events, including chair setup, breakdown, and trash pickup during and after events.
• Clean building entries, hallways, stairwells, and floors.
• Assist with trash haul away during demolition projects.
• Support painters and maintenance teams with various tasks.
• Participate in the setup and teardown of Christmas decorations and other events.
• Utilize general tool knowledge and work safely from ladders.
• Provide access to roofs and doors for contractors.

What you need:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid drivers license.
• Previous custodial or maintenance experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
