The Maintenance Engineer participates in managing and maintaining all broadcast and technology related equipment within the facility.
Help implement new technologies and technical infrastructure for the facility.
Participate in engineering and other technical projects
Evaluate, select, install, service, and maintain facility broadcast equipment and information technology systems
Work closely with management and co-workers to ensure company objectives are being met
Basic understanding of FCC rules and regulations.
Other duties as needed
Salary - $20.00 to $25.00 hourly
Requirements & Skills:
2 years previous broadcast engineering experience.
Broadcast equipment repair and maintenance skills required including experience with the repair and maintenance of video cameras, video routers, ingest and playout servers, newscast automation equipment.
Possess superior troubleshooting skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work extended hours as needed may include overnight and weekends
‘Be initiative-taking, desire to learn new skills consistent with good engineering/IT practices
