Maintenance Mechanic I

Shift(s) Available:  2nd:  4.00PM- 4:30AM

Compensation: $24.35/hr

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician I supports safe and reliable plant operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility assets. In this role, you will perform routine preventative maintenance and help troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues under general guidance. This is a great opportunity to build your maintenance skills while contributing to food safety, equipment reliability, and teamsuccess.

What You Will Do

• Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production andfacility equipment, including but not limited to mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.


• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues to keep equipment runningsafely and efficiently.


• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic precision tools to complete maintenance tasks.


• Read and follow work instructions, schematics, manuals, and safety procedures.


• Document completed work and equipment conditions using a computerized maintenance system.


• Perform job duties in a fast paced, cold, or warm production setting with required PPE while engaging in physical tasks such as standing for long periods of time, climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.


• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.


• Support food safety, housekeeping, and safety standards across the facility.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship


• Must be 18 years or older


• Ability to read, write, and speak English


• Six months of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience or educational equivalent or certification in maintenance, mechanics, or related trade


• Willingness to learn and follow safety, food safety, and maintenance procedures


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

What Will Put You Ahead

• Welding, fabrication, or conveyor system experience.


• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).


• Work history in the last 12 months.
