The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with plant maintenance.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the necessary repairs of equipment, property and building.
• Maintains accurate communication to other mechanics and departments.
• Supports station mechanic and operator basic functions of machinery and equipment.
• Effectively uses electrical testing equipment.
• Responsible to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate those to supervisor or lead person.
• Intiates and conducts routine preventative maintenance (PM’s) on equipment by self or with minimal supervision.
• Maintain shop 6s policies and cleanliness

What You’ll Need

• Demonstrates ability to perform basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, multiplication and percentage calculations.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to pass Prove It Test
• Two years’ experience in maintenance field preferred
• Have ability to work with minimal direct supervision
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools
• Knowledge of electric and mechanical procedures
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed
