Maintenance - NC

Location: Henderson, NC

Salary: Based on Experience

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm; extended hours as the situation calls for.

The Maintenance position will perform work involving skills to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of a building in repair. Desire to learn to use and care for new tools and equipment. Desire to learn new things and an ability to look at an issue and design and implement new processes to prevent the issue repeating.

Duties may involve pipe fitting; HVAC maintenance; insulating; welding; machining; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.

Job Duties:

• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment, systems, and ovens.


• Check functionality of safety systems.


• Assist with the upkeep of the facilities.


• Perform other related duties as assigned.


• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.


• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.


• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.


• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.


• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a mechanical repair environment with proven knowledge of tool usage and care as well as a desire to learn to use and care for new tools and equipment.


• Proven knowledge of tool usage and care


• Strong work ethic that includes an excellent attendance record


• Strong respect for other workers and a willingness to take direction.


• Basic Computer skills: Excel and Word are preferred.


• experience using hand and electrical tools.


• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.

Knowledge

• Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.


• English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.


• Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
