Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Maintenance Specialist to join our Facilities Management team!
Pay Information:
Internal Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms.
External Hires: This position starts at $35.39 per hour and up based on relevant experience. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Specialist serves as the hospital's technical expert for HVAC, refrigeration, environmental controls, and related building systems. This position performs highly skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, programming, and preventive maintenance of complex mechanical and control systems that support a safe, comfortable, and compliant healthcare environment. The incumbent independently diagnoses system failures, implements system upgrades and energy-efficiency improvements, monitors building automation and environmental control systems, and provides technical guidance to Maintenance Mechanics and other staff. The Maintenance Specialist helps ensure the reliable operation of critical facility infrastructure through advanced technical expertise, proactive maintenance practices, regulatory compliance, emergency response, and continuous process improvement.
Minimum Qualifications for the position:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education: Associates degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering or related field.
Experience: Four (4) years of experience in a specialized maintenance field such as boilers, engines, HVAC, biomed, welding, refrigeration, electric, general contracting, etc.
License(s) Required: Current Driver’s License
Certification(s) Preferred: Related certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Journeyman Mechanic certification, HVAC certification, etc.
