Maintenance Supervisor

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a maintenance organization in a fully integrated Forge- HT- NC facility. Individual must have the ability to develop, implement and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plan. Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills and ability to manage maintenance budget are essential.

Essential Job Functions:

• Reads and understands drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.


• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and corrects electrical and mechanical issues.


• Use CMMS to prepare and execute PM and collect machine repair data.


• Performs any welding, machining, or grinding necessary to repair or rebuild machinery.


• Directs the operations and maintenance of all machinery to provide uninterrupted service or minimize downtime.


• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the maintenance, electrical and mechanical operations.


• Makes analysis of machinery to ensure optimum effectiveness and proper maintenance.


• Develops schedules and controls a preventive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working condition.


• Plans a continual work schedule to maintain all company property in a safe and healthy condition to achieve the best working conditions possible for all employees.


• Work with Engineering Department on capital and non-capital projects.


• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the maintenance, electrical and mechanical operations.


• Inspects jobs in process and at completion to ensure the standards of workmanship and safety are maintained.


• Ensures proper maintenance of facility machinery and building.


• Maintains inventories of maintenance material, supplies and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions for purchase; periodically reviews inventory for proper upkeep at plant facilities.


• Recommends, plans, and implements equipment needs to improve production efficiency.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of experience and education is acceptable.


• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) minimum requirement


• 5 years' minimum experience in industrial environment


• Experience trouble shooting NC lathes, mills and hydraulic presses.
