Maintenance Tech

Job Duties:

• Troubleshoot all equipment and associated processes at Chattem.


• Ability to follow instructions carefully with attention to details.


• Responsible for following all safety, security and company policies.


• Ability to maintain all equipment.


• Able to work with outside vendors and contractors as required.


• Follow cGMP guidelines for API’s.


• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.


• Ability to work any shift and OT (as needed).


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.


• Good communication skills.


• A self-started, energetic and motivated.


• Work in hot or cold weather conditions.


• Safely lift up to 50 lbs.


• Able to stand, push, pull and climb stairs frequently.


• Able to work in confined spaces, off-the-ground work (platforms, ladders, tall distillation columns, etc)


• Experience in maintenance for the following types of equipment:




• Centrifugal pumps


• Air operated diaphragm pumps


• Gear boxes


• Agitators


• Air operated valves


• Boilers


• Chillers


• Plumbing
