Maintenance Tech and Engineer

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician and Engineer to join our team. The maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, staff and protecting Community property.

Full Time Tuesday thru Saturday- HVAC Preventative Skill Preferred

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
• Perform painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
• Perform minor building and equipment repairs.
• Assist, during winter, with snow removal efforts as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of fountains, pumping and filtration system, where appropriate.
• Perform maintenance on irrigation system (valves, timers and nozzles).
• Perform routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.
• Maintain all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or equivalent in training, education and experience
• Minimum one year experience in building maintenance
• One year or more experience in apartment and/or healthcare community maintenance

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION OR OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess current and valid driver’s license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed
• Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community
• Must have thorough understanding of all building systems and their interdependence
• HVAC certified preferred but not required
