Job Description - Maintenance Tech - Tropic Hideaway RV Resort

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the resort, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks

Maintain RV sites, utilities, and hookups to ensure they are safe and fully operational

Inspect and maintain resort amenities, including the clubhouse, pool area, bathhouses, laundry facilities, pickleball courts, playground, and common areas

Complete work orders promptly and professionally

Troubleshoot maintenance issues and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary

Maintain landscaped areas by assisting with mowing, trimming, irrigation, and general groundskeeping

Ensure roads, sidewalks, and common areas remain clean and free of hazards

Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed

Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and responsibly

Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and preventative maintenance

Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies

Provide friendly, professional service while interacting with guests and residents

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, RV resort, hotel, campground, or property maintenance preferred

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems

Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Must have excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and an on-call schedule as needed

Pool maintenance certification (preferred but not required)

Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance

Equipment operation experience (mowers, utility vehicles, power tools)
