We are looking for a full-time, skilled Maintenance Technician to perform ongoing tasks such as, guest room preventive maintenance and common area repairs.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment, building systems. The Maintenance Technician will ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks.


• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls; touch up painting.


• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues


• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs


• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems 


• Check functionality of safety systems 


• Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations


• Respond to guest maintenance requests.


• Complete work orders timely.


• Communicate regarding out-of-order rooms and projects.


• Work with outside contractors.


• Comply with safety laws and report issues.


• Responsible for pool maintenance.


• Report safety/security issues.


• Maintain clean work area.


• Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience.


• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and electrical systems


• Experience using hand and electrical tools


• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings


• Very good communication and interpersonal skills


• Physical stamina and dexterity


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Effective communication.

Job Environment

• Primarily indoors or within hotel facilities; some exposure to outside elements.


• Significant walking and standing for entire shift.


• Light to heavy lifting – 50+ lbs.
