Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery, equipment, and facility systems. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as facilities maintenance tasks such as HVAC, plumbing, and general building repairs, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing issues, and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and replacements of parts and components on both equipment and facility systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment and system operations.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address maintenance needs and improve equipment and facility reliability.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and document repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide training and support to junior technicians and other team members as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, equipment performance, and facility conditions.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, and coordinate with the purchasing department to replenish stock as necessary.
  • Perform general building maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and minor repairs to ensure the facility is well-maintained and safe.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Be able to adapt to project changes based on needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multi-craft maintenance or facilities maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automated systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • welding experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and equipment effectively.
  • Visual acuity to inspect and troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and facility systems.

Salary Description

$20.00-$22.00 hourly, DOE
