Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. 


Teammate will be responsible for ensuring that the facility is maintained to the highest level of Safety, Quality and Productivity. Teammate will need to perform all types of industrial maintenance and fabrication duties, including working on hydralics, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, fabrication, machine installation, preventative maintenance, and some machining. 


The maintenance team supports plant operations while working closely with all other departments in planning future needs and/or improvements. This position must help drive continuous improvements in production tracking, process efficiency, and plant automation.


Additionally, this role will be responsible for all other duties, as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of electrical design, repair, and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), including the ability to troubleshoot control logic, diagnose I/O and sensor faults, and interpret ladder logic or other PLC programming to indentify and resolve equipment issues. Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or similar industrial control platforms.

  • Experience in a continous line manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in the use and application of maintenance programs.

  • Understand the basic function of hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience

  • Ability to read and understand technical prints.
