Maintenance Technician

CORA Services is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician  to be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs related to the upkeep of CORA facilities.

Starting hourly pay rate: $20.00 (pay rate is commensurate with experience level)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday from 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

In addition, as a Maintenance Technician, your duties will include:

• Perform facilities-related duties at CORA Services administrative building and off-site locations including:
  
  
  
  • Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and basic repairs for building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
  
  
  • Light carpentry, wall patching and repair, painting
  
  
  • Grounds keeping, mowing, snow removal
  
  
  • Conference room set ups
  
  
  • Light housekeeping: cleaning, floor/carpet care, trash removal
  
  
  • General labor: loading/unloading, making deliveries, moving furniture
  
  
  
  


• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and courteous manner.


• Report maintenance needs to supervisor.


• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety/security protocols; this includes responsibility for snow removal and ice remediation


• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Available to work evenings and weekends as needed

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma/GED required.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• 1+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or related trade experience.


• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry, preferably in a commercial setting.


• Experience operating a variety of equipment including slow blowers, lawn mowers and hand tools.


• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements.


• Demonstrated dependability, initiative and resourcefulness.


• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.


• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.


• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and visitors.
