Maintenance Technician

Location: Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch break). Occasional rotating weekend schedule may be required during peak spring and summer seasons.

Position Overview

A property management team in Myrtle Beach is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to perform general repair and maintenance duties across residential units and common property areas. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on maintenance experience who enjoys troubleshooting issues and completing a variety of repair projects.

Construction, remodeling, or general maintenance experience is highly preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

Perform general property maintenance and repair work.
Patch concrete surfaces and assist with minor repair projects.
Repair wall damage, patch holes, and complete painting touch-ups as needed.
Repair or replace door hardware, including door knobs and related fixtures.
Complete basic repairs involving wood structures, trim, and finishes.
Identify maintenance concerns requiring vendor assistance and coordinate service requests when appropriate.
Perform basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting within the scope of the position.
Inspect units and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Previous maintenance, construction, handyman, remodeling, or related experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of building repair and maintenance practices.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work throughout the day.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Reliable transportation required.
Successful completion of a background check required.
