Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Chief Engineer 

Job Summary 

This role exists to support the safety, functionality, and appearance of the property through timely maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the property remains operational, safe, and ready for guests, and team members while maintaining strong communication and service standards. 

Essential Functions / Duties and Responsibilities 

- Perform guest room preventative maintenance per Hilton brand standards

- Maintain clean and safe common areas and property grounds

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and emergency preparedness procedures

- Complete daily work orders 

- Perform additional duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications  

- Mechanical experience needed 

- Elementary knowledge and skills in painting, sheetrock repair, plumbing, and electrical 

- Customer service skills

- Strong motivation 

- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures 

Preferred Qualifications  

- Experience in hospitality, apartment, or property maintenance

- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or appliance repair systems 

Work Environment 

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions and maintenance equipment. 

Physical Demands 

This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 80 pounds, work above and below shoulder level, and stand or walk for extended periods of time. 

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time Union position at 40 hours per week.
Classification: Nonexempt – Hourly Union position. 

Compensation 

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on qualifications
