Maintenance Technician (Days & Afternoons) Multiple locations

Open Locations & Shifts:
Days- Garden City (5am-3pm) Monday-Friday & (5am-1pm) Saturday depending on business needs.
Afternoons- Garden City (3pm-1am) or (3pm-11pm) depending on business needs.
Afternoons- Livonia (3pm-1am) or (3pm-11pm) depending on business needs.
*May require training on day shift*

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

•    Must have 1+ years of repair experience including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components.
•    Possess a working ability to use precision measuring equipment such as measuring tapes, calipers, micrometers, etc.
•    Possess electrical skills required to perform installation, troubleshooting, and repairs to various electrical and mechanical systems
•    Must have current/up-to-date experience with various mechanical manufacturing equipment in extrusion presses, brake presses, cranes, lift trucks, etc.
•    Possess knowledge of and/or experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems with ability to read, understand directions and/or schematics to perform calculations to specify components.
•    Possess a knowledge of and demonstrate practical applications to all MIOSHA AND OSHA standards.
•    Ability to work in various climate conditions.
•    Experience in identifying components from parts breakdowns.
•    Possess time management skills.
•    Possess a working ability to troubleshoot power transmission components, bearings, belts, cams, etc.
•    Ability to read and understand detailed and complex electrical schematics.
•    Possess the ability to use electrical troubleshooting skills to include a multi-meter, megger tester, amp meter, etc.
•    Ability to read and understand Ladder logic for troubleshooting programmable logic, parametric, and industrial control systems.
•    Possess familiarity with spare parts inventory control system.
•    Must be reliable with excellent attendance record.
•    MUST possess the ability to work well with others.
•    Must provide own tools/tool box-cart.

Position Requirements /Qualifications: 
•    Must possess and maintain a current and valid Driver's License
•    Must be over 18years old.
•    Must possess a High School Diploma or State Equivalent
•    Must be able to lift varying weights up to 75lbs. (pounds
•    Must be able to work at varying heights and or spaces.
•    Must be able to perform and maintain the physical abilities required to carry out assigned duties/tasks that include but not limited to: walking distances, standing for extended periods of time, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, lifting, working in varying temperatures, heights, noises, and other manufacturing environments, etc.
•    Must have basic knowledge and experience with hand tools.
•    Must be able to demonstrate a level of proficiency in both (manufacturing) facility maintenance and various machine repair.
•    Must be reliable with excellent attendance record.
•    Must be able to successfully complete and pass a stringent substance screening and background check.
•    Must be able to work any shift assigned and/or as requested (days, afternoons, midnights, weekends, Holidays, overtime, and/or at plant location(s) located in Garden City and Livonia
•    Certification in manufacturing machine repair and/or electrical is a plus.
