Temporary part-time or full-time role helping keep ILM airport buildings and grounds clean, safe, and well maintained.
Responsibilities include custodial work in terminals and airport buildings, cleaning restrooms and baggage areas, trash removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, basic repairs, replacing light bulbs, and outdoor grounds maintenance such as mowing and mulching. You may also help respond to tenant needs and maintain equipment.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including weekends, holidays, and different shifts. This position involves standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 100 lbs., working around chemicals and equipment, and being outside in hot, cold, or rainy weather. Non-movement driver training is required.
- Education/Knowledge: High School diploma. Must possess a valid North Carolina Class “C” driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to maintain insurability by ILM.
- Experience: Experience in custodial and facility maintenance preferred.
- Skills/Aptitudes: Must possess the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Promotion Opportunities: May be eligible for promotion to Maintenance Technician II if a position becomes available. Promotion will be dependent on proficiency with specific maintenance repair tasks and duties of the position and the completion of Airfield Drivers Training.
