Eaton\u2019s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $33.50 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. If you\u2019re looking for work that is engaging, exciting, and meaningful then join us and contribute to making what matters work.\n\nThe Maintenance Tech will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment with minimal supervision, including performing intermediate mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting and repairs in accordance with manufacturer\u2019s specifications.\n\n \nIn this role, you will: \n\u2022 Perform intermediate break-fix and preventative maintenance with minimal supervision, including troubleshooting industrial equipment, dismantling equipment to remove and repair and/or replace defective parts, adjusting functional parts and control instruments within equipment, and testing equipment to observe performance. \n\u2022 Construct and alter physical facilities to accommodate changes or improvements. \n\u2022 Independently perform facilities and routine industrial maintenance. \n\u2022 Assists other technicians on more complex maintenance issues. \n\u2022 Provides support to other Technician I\u2019s and Apprentices as directed by leadership. \n\u2022 Perform electrical power work under the direction of electrician, including running wires and cables, installing fixtures, and performing testing and diagnostics.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications\n\n * High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.\n * Minimum of 2 years of related experience in industrial maintenance or Associates degree with a technical focus from an accredited instituion \u0026 a minimum of 1 year of related experience in industrial maintenance.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u0027Green Card Holder\u0027), Political Asylee, or Refugee\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.\n * Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC machining maintenance.\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies by driving EBS/World class workforce initiatives such as ISO14001 and/or applicable regional initiatives. \n\u2022 Understanding of how to use precision gauging instruments. \n\u2022 Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision. \n\u2022 This position requires standing and/or walking for an entire eight \u2013 twelve hours with or without reasonable accommodation. \n\u2022 Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures. \n\u2022 This job requires working daily with lubricants and solvents. \n\u2022 Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. \n\u2022 Ability to understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems and analyze problems and perform repairs \n\u2022 Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings\n\n#LI-SK1\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
