Maintenance/custodian technician

Full-time maintenance/custodian - St. Joseph Parish in Shawnee is looking for a full-time maintenance/custodian staff. Qualified applicants will primarily work in a school, and early education environment. Applicants must have similar work history, references, dependable transportation, Virtus trained or attend a Virtus training, and participate in a background check. 

Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors, carpets, and other surfaces 

Sanitation: Disinfect surfaces and restrooms

Trash removal: Empty trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposal 

Equipment maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment, such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and   vacuum cleaners 

Minor repairs: Perform minor repairs as needed 

Special events: Set up and clean up for school events and community activities, such as meetings, concerts, plays, and graduations

General repairs: Fixing leaky faucets, clogged drains, broken doors, malfunctioning light switches, minor electrical issues, and other common building problems.
