This is a full-time role for an experienced and service-driven Majordomo to lead the operations of a private family residence based in Jupiter, Florida, with seasonal residence in New Jersey.
The position combines traditional butler service with overall responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the household. Acting as the central point of coordination, the Majordomo will liaise closely with the principals, household team, vendors, and family office to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and consistently high standards. The role requires a visible, hands-on professional who leads by example while maintaining a polished, guest-ready environment at all times.
The household operates within a formal yet approachable setting, where discretion, presentation, and attention to detail are highly valued. Key Responsibilities include:
Oversee the daily operations of the residence, maintaining a consistently high standard and ensuring the home is always guest-ready.
Lead, manage, and develop household staff, including scheduling, task allocation, and maintaining strong team communication.
Act as the primary liaison to the principals, managing requests and ensuring their preferences are executed with precision and discretion.
Deliver and uphold formal service standards, including dining, table presentation, and small-scale entertaining.
Coordinate external vendors and contractors, overseeing quality, scheduling, and completion of work.
Manage household logistics, including deliveries, transportation, and daily operational movements.
Support travel preparation and seasonal relocation, including packing, garment care, and coordination across residences.
Maintain inventories of supplies, equipment, and household items, ensuring organisation and replenishment.
Assist in planning and executing events, from intimate dinners to occasional larger gatherings.
Provide hands-on support across all areas of the household when required, leading by example.
Proactively identify and resolve issues, coordinating repairs and ensuring smooth household continuity.
Oversee systems, processes, and expense coordination in collaboration with the family office.
Anticipate the needs of the principals through forward planning and a consistently proactive approach.

Extensive experience within a formal private household or luxury service environment at a senior level.

Reporting Structure
The Majordomo will serve as the central leader of the household, with all domestic staff reporting into the role for daily operations. Salary range of $140K–$200K, commensurate with experience.
Full-time schedule, typically five days per week and approximately 50 hours with flexibility required based on household needs.
