At Valley Lab , the UA Coordinator plays an important role in supporting quality client care through accurate sample collection and documentation. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality will help ensure reliable testing while contributing to a safe, respectful experience for every client. 

Pay: Range starts at $16.00 hour (pay is calculated based on years of related experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm

Job Summary

The UA Coordinator observes and collects the urine samples of clients. The Coordinator packages the samples for laboratory testing if necessary and completes required paperwork.

Essential Functions

• Observes and collects urine samples according to DOT standards
• Labels, documents, and prepares samples for processing
• Follows Universal Precautions and all OSHA standards when handling samples
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, and private collection space
• Follows agency documentation policies for all phases of treatment including assessments, care plans, treatment transitions and discharge plans, and client care
• Adheres to ethical and legal standards set by licensing boards and state regulations. Strictly adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Meets direct care expectations
• Participates in ongoing professional development activities to meet licensure, certification, and/or other agency requirements

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• No experience required - see Preferred Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications

• CPR certification
• Valley de-escalation certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous healthcare or laboratory experience
