Job Description - Management Accountant



KCR Solutions are delighted to be partnering with an excellent client in Billingham to recruit a Management Accountant. This pivotal role is responsible for producing accurate monthly reporting, delivering meaningful financial analysis, and providing robust support. The successful candidate will take ownership of the month-end process, budgeting and forecasting cycles, cash flow management, and financial controls, while working closely with operational teams to enhance performance.


Key Responsibilities



  • Produce monthly management accounts

  • Produce full and accurate accounts and cashflow for management reports

  • Review and accurately reconcile Balance Sheets

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns

  • Process and reconcile inter-company transactions

  • Process accurately transactions for multiple entities

  • Own and maintain accurate Control Accounts

  • Process Sales and Purchase Ledgers

  • Reconciling Bank Accounts and Credit Cards

  • Model and calculate accurately prepayments and accruals for both income and expenditure

  • Process payroll expenses claims on a timely basis

  • Support year-end external audit

  • Liaise within and across departments to resolve queries

  • Support finance team and provide cover when required

  • Any other relevant duties that may be requested of an employee in this role


The role will suit someone actively studying towards CIMA, ACA, ACCA or QBE, with a good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems. Previous SME experience would be an advantage
