Eaton\u2019s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Manager - Corporate Accounting \u0026 Reporting. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThis position reviews and performs professional accounting work involving reporting and analysis of global financial results to provide senior management with timely and accurate financial information that aids in decision-making. This includes analyzing and correcting financial data as submitted by all operations worldwide through the use of various accounting systems. \nJob Responsibilities: \n\u2022 Manage and develop a team through coaching, feedback, exposure and stretch assignments. \n\u2022 Review and approve reporting and financial statements prepared for senior management, board of directors, and external SEC filings. \n\u2022 Analyze, and review consolidated financial results delivered to Eaton senior management and Board of Directors, primarily cash flows, including preparation of disclosures for external SEC filings related to the statement of cash flows and the balance sheet, including shareholders\u2019 equity. \n\u2022 Manage the accounting, reporting and analyzing for the balance sheet, including shareholders\u2019 equity, foreign currency translation, and investment in subsidiaries. \n\u2022 Manage the cash flow forecast inputs for corporate items, including equity compensation and tax payments. \n\u2022 Provide in-depth, accurate, and timely analysis of global financial results to identify key business drivers and deliver actionable recommendations to senior management. \n\u2022 Support the annual cash flow profit plan and provide meaningful analysis of variances of corporate items to senior management. \n\u2022 Partner with various corporate and operational cross-functional teams to supply or explain data, advise on complex accounting transactions, and drive process improvements. \n\u2022 Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency across the finance organization, including leveraging financial systems to automate reporting processes and improve data integrity and accessibility. \n\u2022 Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors, including the related party disclosure analysis. \n\u2022 Review corporate ledger accounting and prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. \n\u2022 Evaluate complex accounting matters in accordance with US GAAP. \n\u2022 Ensure effectiveness of controls and compliance with company policies \n\u2022 As part of enhancing efficiency across the finance organization, ensure that all assigned work activities are executed in the appropriate geographic location. When a change in work location is required, lead the coordination and execution of the transition process, including collaborating with HR partners, functional managers, and relevant stakeholders to update requisitions, align organizational structures, and ensure continuity of operations. Maintain accountability for communicating changes and mitigating disruption.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution required. \n\u2022 Minimum 7 years accounting/finance experience. \n\u2022 Minimum 2 years as a manager of people. \n\u2022 Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates currently located within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Working knowledge of US GAAP, Proficient in Microsoft Office software. \n\u2022 Strong leadership skills \n\u2022 Strategic / Analytical thinking \n\u2022 Ability to express the complex in simple, easy-to-grasp ways, verbally and in writing \n\u2022 Is curious, inquisitive and comfortable challenging the status quo \n\u2022 Strong drive for results \n\u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy \n\u2022 Working knowledge of financial systems such as Oracle, SAP and FCCS as well as Microsoft Power Apps. \n\u2022 10% travel required \n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
