Manager, ED

HCT seeks an experienced nursing leader to serve as the Interim Manager of Emergency Department at critical access hospital in North Dakota.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide leadership and oversight for the Emergency Department and Emergency/Trauma service line.
• Oversee the ER, Trauma and Stroke programs, including quality, safety, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Manage the APP schedule for the Emergency Department and other assigned areas.
• Lead staffing, recruitment, scheduling, employee development, performance management, and accountability.
• Conduct incident reviews and root cause analyses and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain departmental competencies, orientation programs, policies, procedures, and training resources.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, department leadership, and senior leadership.
• Represent the department in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with clinical and operational leaders.
• Provide direct patient care when needed and support the department during staffing needs.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
• Experience: 1–3 years of Emergency Department experience required; leadership experience required.
• License: Active Registered Nurse license required; compact license accepted.
• Certifications: Current BLS required. ACLS, TNCC, and PALS required or must be obtained within the designated timeframe.
• Skills: Strong leadership, organization, communication, staff development, and performance improvement skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and healthcare computer applications required.

Estimated Annual Salary: Approximately $157k - 164k. Expenses booked and paid for while on assignment include housing, airfare and rental car.
