Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman\u0027s Strategic Deterrence Defense Division is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join as a Manager 3 Environment, Health, and Safety. This position will report to the SDS Division Director of Safety and Mission Assurance. This position can be located in Roy, UT.\n\nAs The Senior Manager, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in leading and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, promote workplace safety, and safeguard the health and well-being of Northrop Grumman SDS employees and contractors. The role will oversee all aspects of EH\u0026S management, including developing policies, implementing programs, and providing training to employees at all levels of the organization.\n\nWhat You Will Get To Do:\n\n * Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive EH\u0026S programs to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.\n * Partner with the Sector EH\u0026S team to foster a consistent culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.\n * Collaborate with cross-sector and cross-functional teams to integrate EH\u0026S considerations into all aspects of the division\u2019s operations, including product design, manufacturing processes, and supply chain management.\n * Lead a focused team of EH\u0026S professionals to meet and exceed annual goals while operating within an annual budget. Drive a culture of achievement that enhances career experience for all team members and facilitates employee development in alignment with career objectives. Provides clear assignments, helps employees connect their efforts to the bigger picture, and builds a culture that motivates employees to their highest level of performance.\n * Affirm and implement a comprehensive Safety Management System to identify, assess and mitigate risks to promote continuous improvement in safety performance.\n * Support the company\u2019s corporate EH\u0026S audit program to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate safety and environmental risks across the enterprise.\n * Assess SDS EH\u0026S performance based on enterprise leading and lagging indicators.\n * Drive the \u201cnear miss\u201d safety program within SDS, highlighting areas for operational improvement.\n * Lead SDS incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and implement preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of future incidents.\n * Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the field of EH\u0026S and proactively recommend and implement initiatives to enhance the division\u2019s EH\u0026S performance.\n * Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on EH\u0026S performance, trends, and initiatives, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.\n * Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on EH\u0026S matters, providing guidance and support to all levels of the organization.\n * Cultivate durable partnerships across the enterprise, especially with key collaborators within Northrop Grumman\u2019s Legal, Operations, and Supply Chain organizations, in addition to the EH\u0026S-focused teams within the division.\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: \n\n\u2022 Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage \n\n\u2022 401k \n\n\u2022 Educational Assistance \n\n\u2022 Life Insurance \n\n\u2022 Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions \n\n\u2022 Paid Time Off \n\n\u2022 Health \u0026 Wellness Resources \n\n\u2022 Employee Discounts \n\nThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. \n\nYou Will Bring These Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree and 8 years of EHS experience or a master\u2019s degree and 6 years of EHS experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree\n\n\u2022 Ability to acquire and maintain US Government Secret security clearance.\n\nThese Qualifications Are Nice To Have:\n\n\u2022 Project management experience is preferred.\n\n\u2022 Experience managing people preferred\n\n\u2022 Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with local, state and/or federal regulatory staff and leadership.\n\n\u2022 Experience in developing partnerships with third-party experts is preferred.\n\n\u2022 Experience supporting EH\u0026S programs for manufacturing operations.\n\n\u2022 Experience briefing senior executives on EH\u0026S metrics and programs.\n\n\u2022 Experience working in an environment that processes and utilizes energetic materials such as propellants, explosives, pyrotechnics, etc.\n\n\u2022 Demonstrate the ability to develop and carry out sustainability programs to meet corporate metrics.\n\n\u2022 Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)\n\n\u2022 Program vision-oriented resulting in sustainable value and performance.\n\n\u2022 Proven ability to build and maintain high performing teams.\n\n\u2022 Proven ability to take ownership and be accountable with an \u201cowners\u201d mindset.\n\n\u2022 Strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional self-starter attitude, and the ability to produce in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\n\n\u2022 Strong business/financial acumen, keen organizational skills, and excellent problem-solving ability.\n\n\u2022 Ability to travel to various project locations in the United States.\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $137,800.00 - $206,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
