Secure Processing Software delivers and supports solutions that enable partners to confidently deploy solutions that will remain secure in the toughest environments. Our team provides technical skills, technologies, and processes to affordably develop, design, produce and sustain products across the defense industry while providing a decisive advantage to our customers.\n\nAs the Software manager you are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the people, resources and processes required to deliver software solutions. Additionally, you are responsible for managing people performance, providing excellent staff resources to programs, and career development of employees.\n\nRoles \u0026 Responsibilities:\n\n\u2022 Provide technical oversight of design, development, and integration of software components\n\n\u2022 Engage with business leaders and customers to understand and drive business execution\n\n\u2022 Support the team in identifying and addressing impediments to the attainment of goals, including taking action to remove impediments where appropriate\n\n\u2022 Drive sustainable continuous improvement, including by collating and deriving insights from data\n\n\u2022 Generate proposal and estimates inputs for new work\n\n\u2022 Lead the team in applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools using Agile development methodology\n\n\u2022 Guide the team in compliance with the Internal Software Development Plan (iSDP) and the Agile Development Plan (ADP)\n\n\u2022 Coordinate with other disciplines when needed such as Systems and Hardware\n\n\u2022 Candidates must have strong communication and people leadership skills\n\n\u2022 Set, track, and measure employee performance expectations\n\n\u2022 Guide employees regarding career development\n\n\u2022 Provide technical and business coaching and mentoring\n\n\u2022 Communicate direction from the higher-level organization and uphold principles of the higher organization\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields) with 8 years of experience, Master\u2019s degree with 6 years of experience, Ph.D. with 4 years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n * U.S Citizenship required\n * An active DoD Secret clearance. Secret clearance is required to start. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance for continued employment.\n * The ability to obtain a Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start. Must be able to maintain this level of access for continued employment.\n * 3 years of experience as a Software Engineering/Development Team Leader\n * 2 years identifying risks, suggesting mitigation, tracking defects, developing resolutions, and reporting status.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Prior experience within an IPT lead role.\n * Prior CAM (Cost Account Management) experience.\n * Working knowledge of Linux or VxWorks operating systems\n * Board support software experience\n * Management of budget for technical activities\n * Experience with SonarQube and/or KlocWork tools Experience with the Atlassian tool set, Jenkins, and DevSecOps best practices\n * Experience generating proposals and estimates inputs for new work\n * Prior software functional management experience (executing performance appraisals, staffing allocations, software process leadership, and career goals development)\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $153,800.00 - $230,800.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
